THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Colin is a self taught photographer based in Ross-shire in the Scottish Highlands where he’s lived since 1995.
His preferred final image format has evolved from that of the traditional portrait/landscape to square. More recently he’s been exploring combining square format with black and white printing.
Colin’s printed images have won him several awards in Dingwall Camera Club (DCC) competitions, including both the Mono & Colour Print sections in the annual competition. In 2006 his prints won him the DCC Photographer of the Year Competition. In 2008 he won the DCC Mono Natural History section, and the Best DCC Projected Digital image in the Dingwall 2008 National competition.
The subject matter of Colin’s images is diverse and reflects his relaxed approach to photography. As well as continuing to develop his Macro, Travel and Landscape photography skills, he is exploring several new projects to develop his Abstract, Portrait and Natural History work.
