Welcome To the Creative World of 'FaceandPaste'
I graduated with BA (Hons) in Illustration in 2004. Since then, I have undertaken commissions for several clients. These have ranged from illustrations for the NHS to bespoke greetings cards, logos, posters, murals and art work for individuals. I have also illustrated books and poetry anthologies as well as creating promotional pieces for bands, musicians and festivals. In recent years I have also been focusing on developing and facilitating art workshops for children and young people in schools and community projects.
The inspiration for the core of my art work is taken from my love for my family, nature and the environment. The death of my brother and my passion for music have also been very influential to my work.
I illustrate with mixed media, ranging from freehand collage to digital manipulation with photoshop. Most of my images have many layers and utilise Indian ink, spray paint, stencil work and expression through pattern. I am also a keen amateur photographer and enjoy including this as a foundation for my artwork.
