Motivational thinking

Had another look at the SPI bulletin boards/forum. Amongst the usual dross and chit chat that gets posted to such sites were some really constructive and considered responses from the tutors so looking good. Decided I would capture my motives, not for studying per se but for studying this particular course.

• Improve my success rate in the field
• Increase my confidence and ability to critically assess my own photographs
• Understand how the various tools in Photoshop work so I can adapt the techniques to my own photographs with slightly less trial and error
• Gain confidence to enter photographic competitions and submit pictures for publication
• Create a portfolio strong enough for an LRPS application - hopefully in late 2008
• Take more photographs, more regularly!
