We have lift-off!

Well, after a few hiccups and a bit of chasing module 1 has arrived back and I have to say the quality of the feedback is superb.

A phone call from the SPI has reassured me that the delay was due to one unforseen incident upon another and my confidence has been totally restored. Module 2 will be in the post on the 14th.

What I appreciated was comments about why the tutor liked particular shots, what he didn't like about others and how they could be improved. Although it is primarily a technical course there were both compositional and PS advice in the very constructive feedback.

At this stage I can certainly recommend the course although it would be important to read the details carefully as the intermediate courses do contain quite a bit of information that an enthusiast with no formal training is likely to have picked up over the years.
