Tone Holmen was born in Tromsø, a town in Northern Norway, north of the Arctic Circle.

Her work is based on her photos of nature as well as maps which are of special interest to her.
Coming from the 'North Pole' global warming plays an important role in her work.

5 years ago, Tone moved to England and now lives and works on the South Coast of England. This is where she achieved a Bachelor of Hons Degree in Fine Art Painting.
